Our Story

Our Love Story

This love story begins in the summer of 2012

with a simple Facebook friend request. Who would have thought a simple friend request would lead us here? After a few weeks of messaging and getting to know each other, Paul and Danielle finally met in person at their friend Caitlin’s infamous Labor Day house party. They hit it off immediately! As the new school year started, Paul and Danielle were inseparable. Weekends were spent hanging out with friends and being typical teenagers. Paul and Danielle dated throughout their high school years, celebrating big milestones together such as prom, graduation, and summer vacations.

In the Fall of 2014, Danielle left to start college at

LIU Post, a new chapter that forced both her and Paul to acclimate to a long-distance relationship. The distance that separated the couple became far too challenging to continue the kind of relationship they both desired; In early 2015, Paul and Danielle went their separate ways. Despite being broken up, this time spent apart did not stop the two from thinking of one another. Finally, they made their way back to each other with just one message from Paul.

On July 14th, 2016, Paul asked Danielle to be his girlfriend all over again and finally, they were right back where they belonged, together. The next five years were practically bliss. They travelled and explored, laughed and loved, and most importantly, molded into their best selves. Just like that, the two were on the road to forever, exemplifying a love that others can only dream of finding.

The Proposal

Paul, like no other, acts on impulse and in

December of 2020 that impulse was his future fiancé. It was then that he chose the perfect ring for his perfect person. The day came a year later in late August; Paul and Danielle had a romantic weekend trip to Cape Cod booked and ready, when the groom-to-be felt that this was the perfect time to ask Danielle for forever.

Paul secretly invited two very special guests

to take part in their special moment, his best friend, Jon, and Danielle’s sister, Michelle. One week later, the couple set out for what appeared to be an ordinary getaway. Unbeknownst to Danielle, this weekend would in fact be remembered for the rest of her life.

On August 20th, 2021, Paul’s plan to propose

unfolded. The two were standing before Nauset Lighthouse at sunset when Danielle spotted her unexpected guests. Puzzled, she turned to Paul to find him on one knee, holding a velvet box with her dream ring nestled perfectly inside. The tears began to stream down her face as the love of her life spoke the magic words, “will you marry me?” She nodded while replying “yes!” This moment of overwhelming joy was accompanied and captured by their favorite people. Immediately they shared the news with friends and family who congratulated them with kind words and excitement. It was from that day on that the plans for the big day, October 12th, 2024, began.
